    Southeast Kelp Beds

First dive at Santa Barbara Island! We explored a pretty thick kelp forest. There were some giant Sheepsheads following us around. Saw a huge black sea bass, and a ray swam right under us while we were at a surface stop looking for the boat. A sea lion came to visit quickly near the end as well. Felt extremely comfortable in the water. Viz was amazing as well, probably 50-60 ft. Fun first dive!

    Dana Point

Spot right off Dana Point Harbor. Nice dive, much better than the previous one. Seal followed us around in the kelp beds and we saw a giant grouper.

    Whale Rock

Beautiful dive on a beautiful day! Vis was really good, the kelp was awesome, and there was a ton of life to explore. Swam all the way around a large underwater rock close to the shore. Decent amount of surge, but nothing too bad. Found a moray eel hiding in a hole surrounded by tiny red and white shrimp...got some great pics!
