    The Pinnacle

16 Years since I have dropped down an anchor line onto "The Pinnacle". One of my all time favourite dive sites. Everything at this site is big! Big Sharks, Big Fish, Big Rocks, Big! We were blessed with great visibility at around 20 - 25mtrs. I dived with Ron Hunter and Malcolm Nobbs, only a couple of sharks in one of the gutters. A massive Black Grouper, Huge Kingfish, Mulloway, and big schools of baitfish.

    The Pinnacle

Headed out further from the mooring this time, current was stronger and it was stirring up the visibility. As we came over a drop off a couple of large rays cruised majestically past. We followed to check them out and they joined up with a larger group - possibly 10 or more... cruising around - I think they were checking us out as much as we checked them out. One of the rays followed me back to the mooring line - it was shoulder to shoulder and heaps bigger than me. Awesome animals.

    Big Seal Rocks (Grotto)

Another awesome dive... Photographers really had 'scared' or at least made the sharks decide to move off to deeper water. There were only around 5 hanging up towards the grotto. I found them in 28mtrs+ although they appeared to be headed back up to the grotto area - there was allot of current as you moved away from the protection of the grotto area. A massive wobbegong swam over a ledge then straight at and over me... I froze it was huge. I had the best day diving!!!
