Love this dive! Water was calm and not only was the dive site awesome, but I was really comfortable and didn't have a lot of buoyancy control or gear issues. Saw lots of critters!

1st shore dive. A nice experience, swimming against the current/ tide on the return was tough. Vis was poor and one of the drivers got separated, we hung out at 25’ or so for a few minutes on the return while Sarah looked; but wound up surfacing on our own due to low oxygen. Don’t know if we would’ve done a safety stop or just slow swimming back (gradually ascending). Longer swim to shore than planned. For future, keep a closer eye on G, he was tired but didn’t say anything. Since I’ve lost weight, 16# might be heavy. Try 14 next suit dive.

Practice dive to get Stacey more familiar with buoyancy control etc. Although we were only in about 10 ft of water there was a surprizing amount of marine life especially on the macro scale. Tons of blennies etc... At one point a school of some sort of Jack about ran into us.

First open water dive for OW Cert. Started the dive at about dusk so visibility was limited and silt was kicked up due to the tide. No safety stop as I demonstrated an Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent.
